Can meditation help people with ADHD?

I'm seeing a massive increase in clients coming to my classes who disclose that they're struggling with their ADHD.

Meditation can be very helpful for people with ADHD, as it can help improve focus, decrease impulsivity, reduce stress and anxiety. Additionally, meditation has been shown to increase brain activity in areas associated with attention and executive function, making it a potentially effective treatment for ADHD.

Now, you may have ADHD, try meditation and absolutely hate it. And that’s ok. Life is short but it’s the longest thing you’ll ever endure, so it makes sense to find something that helps you find your own kind of calm. It doesn’t have to be meditation, it could be exercise, art, dancing around the kitchen, screaming into the void. You know, cute things like that.

So, can meditation 'cure' ADHD? Absolutely not (after all it is some people's super power!)

Can it be a vital tool to help people with ADHD - most definitely.
